Today we had an incredible morning studying about the eclipse.Students journaled what they already know about eclipses, what they were wondering about, and finally at they end of the lesson they wrote about what they learned today. I had purchased special LUNT Solar glasses for the students, so we would be safe while viewing the eclipse. $3.00 donations to our classroom are being accepted to help cover the cost of the solar glasses. Most students took them home today to show their families. They may keep their glasses even if you do not make a donation. In addition, we watched videos to help us understand sun safety, to show us what was happening during the eclipse, and we made "pin hole" projectors. It was a great morning!
