Hi Alta Sierra Families,

We are thrilled to be days away from our upcoming Candy Land Family Festival and we hope you can join us this Sunday, April 14^th from 12-4 at Alta Sierra Elementary! We will have games, food, a silent & live auction, as well as many raffle prizes. For a better understanding of the event we have outlined some important details below.

This year we are offering discounted game wristbands if purchased in advance!  Save some money and time in the line by purchasing in advance as well as for food, drinks and face painting by clicking the link below: https://alta-sierra-ptc.square.site/.  Please note, discounted wristbands will only be available if purchased before 9:00am Sunday.

We still need lots of volunteer help! If you're interested in joining the fun, this is the perfect opportunity! The event will have a silent and live auction as well as a 50/50 raffle.  We have attached the flyers for each and listed some important details below:

Silent Auction:

*Auction starts at 12:00 in the MPR

*Bidding is open from 12:00 – 3:30pm

*Bidding closes at 3:30

*Must be present to win the final bid

*Items must be paid for and picked up before event ends at 4pm (card and cash accepted)

Live Auction:

*Live auction begins at 3:00 in the MPR

Alta Sierra Elementary School 

Track & Field

 

We are happy to announce that Alta Sierra will be participating in the Nevada County Track and Field program. This wonderful opportunity is available to all 4th and 5th grade students. The program will start April 1st and run through May 24th. Practices will held at Bear River High School’s track on Mondays and Wednesdays, from 2:30 - 3:30. This year we have a great option for transportation to Bear River. The students will have the option to ride the bus that transports the band students over to Magnolia. Transportation is ONLY  available to Magnolia, NOT home once the practices are over. Once the students arrive at Magnolia, the coach will be there to escort them over to Bear River track. 

 

There are three meets currently scheduled. The meets are held at Colfax and Nevada Union High School. The first meet is at Colfax High School on April 17th an April 27th May 1st at Nevada Union. Transportation to the meets must be provided by the athlete’s guardians, no school transportation is available for the meets. 

 

In order to participate the athlete must have an athletic form completed before attending any practices. These forms are available in the front office. The athlete should come prepared with proper workout attire and a water bottle.
