Welcome to 3rd & 4th grade!! I am so excited to be teaching at Alta Sierra this year! I have been substitute teaching in the Pleasant Ridge District since 2012 and last year I taught 2nd grade at Cottage Hill. I coach both boys and girls basketball as well as boys volleyball at Magnolia.

I will be married 29 years this October and we have 2 boys. My oldest, Brendan is 24 and he recently graduated from Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo with a degree in Construction Management. He is currently working in Phoenix AZ where he is not loving the hot weather. Our youngest Ryan just turned 21 and is a Junior at the University of Oregon where he is a sprinter on their Track & Field Team.

I will continue to add to this webpage, please be sure to subscribe so that you will be notified each time I make a post or changes to a page.

I am looking forward to having a GREAT year in room 22!!

Santa Claus

Hello Everyone,
Yesterday while the kids were working in various groups many of the conversations were about Santa Claus. Some of the kids were saying that Santa Claus is not real and that it is really your parents. I spoke with several of the kids yesterday about how Christmas is magic and you have to believe in the magic of Christmas. Fourth grade is about the time where many children start to question that magic. If your student is at that point, could you please have a conversation with them about how many students still believe in the magic of Christmas and if they know something different, that needs to be kept a secret.

Thanks!!
Debbie

Homework Thursday, October 25, 2023

Hello everyone,
I just want to give you a heads up that tonights homework might be a little hard for some of the students. I have sent home a page with some helpful hints. If they are struggling with the front page and you are unable to help them, have them skip it as the we will be going over the homework tomorrow in class. They are only doing the even numbers on the front and back.
Thanks,
Mrs. Mulholland

Math Homework

Hello Everyone,

Today in Math we reviewed the borrowing/regrouping subtraction skill, which is a skill which should have been mastered in third grade. Unfortunately, many of the students struggled with this. I am asking if you could please help and review math homework nightly with your student, to help them improve their math skills.

Thank you for your help and support of your child!!
