My name is Hélène Diament Agar, Mrs Agar for the children. (It’s easier.) I am originally from Québec, Canada where I was born and raised. I moved to the United States in 1989 where I married my husband from
Nevada City. We spent 10 years in Maryland and the DC area and came back to Nevada County in 2002. We have 2 children; a son and a daughter. I started working in education in Maryland teaching French at Loyola College for a year, then at Crofton Woods Elementary school, Maryland, in a French Immersion program for about 4 years prior to moving back to California. I started to work for the Pleasant Ridge School District as an Instructional Aide in 2007; first with 6th grade students at Magnolia then Special Ed for 6th-7th and 8th grade. In 2011, I moved to Alta Sierra School where I continue to work in Special Ed.
