December 16-20, 2019

December 16-20

We had an amazing week! Thank you Parents Club for sending us the B Street Theater and their exciting assembly, Mind Boggling Mysteries. We loved it!

We also worked on Series and Parallel circuits in Science this week. The children love our hands-on investigations!

This upcoming week is going to be full of fun! The children are so excited! I have a few "special" projects planned! (So many secrets this time of year!)

Mrs. Yoho will visit us with another wonderful Art Docent presentation!

We will have spelling activities this week including test 3.3 on Thursday. The words and activities are already on Spelling City for early review and practice.

We will have homework this week, so please check your child's agenda.

On Wednesday morning we will watch the 2nd graders' dress rehearsal for their Memories of Christmas performance.

We have three school spirit days this week! Wednesday is Holiday Hat & Socks Day, Thursday is Ugly Sweater Day, and Friday is Pajama Day!

Please remember to have your child bring a wrapped, new or gently used 4th grade level book to class before Friday for our Secret Santa Book Exchange. We have volunteers who have signed up to send in an extra book just in case you are unable to send one in. We only need 5 more books. Thank you all!

The Toys for Tots toy drive has been extended one more day! Toys are due by 8:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 17. We are hoping to see Mr. Trevethick and his fire station pick up our toys in their Fire Truck on Tuesday! We have 10 toy donations so far! It would be great to get more! Please send in a new unwrapped toy by 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 17!

After we share our book exchange on Friday morning, we will watch a holiday movie and enjoy our holiday treats.  Kids are welcome to bring a pillow, blanket, and stuffed animal! Friday is pajama day! So students may come to class in pajamas, too! In addition, I am looking for a rated "G" movie to show during our party. I have a few movies on my shelf in class, but children enjoy voting for their favorite movie. I'd love to borrow a copy of Rudolph the Red-Nose Reindeer if anyone has one to send in. Last year Rudolph won the class vote! It's such a fun classic. Thank you!

I think we have everything we need for our holiday party! Thank you everyone!

Thank you for all of your support! It is so greatly appreciated!
