A Message from ASPTC President...

Happy New Year and Welcome Back!

I hope everyone had a relaxing, fulfilling break.  We had our first meeting of 2019 last week and I wanted to send you all the updates. Please star this email so you can find it easily in the future for your reference.

Firstly, I will not be continuing on as President next year, so if you are interested or know someone who may be, please encourage them to reach out to me (Alicia Alonzo). Elections are in April and if we do not have a President, all control and funds will go to the District Parents Club. We will not be able to fundraise next year, which means NO field trips, art docent, garden, technology, teacher support, library funds and much more.  If these are important to you, please think about getting involved.

***Some dates have changed, so please see the attached, updated calendar of events.

There will be no parents night out (aka Casino Night) this year.  Instead, there will be a family Carnival on Saturday, April 27th.  This will be a fun event for the whole family and community.  More details will be sent home as the event gets closer.  If you're interested in being on the planning committee, please let me know.

We now have Spirit Wear available for purchase in case you are new to the school, missed out on ordering earlier in the year or if your child already grew out of theirs.  Please see the attached flier with the details.

Don't forget to purchase your yearbook as well.  You can find the link on the school website under the Parents Tab.  You can also start personalizing your child's pages.  Don't wait until the last minute!

We are in need of a Farm to School Liaison. This is a stipend position through Sierra Harvest that consists of being responsible for the farm cart, monthly tastings and a few more things.  If you're interested please let me know.

I hope all your kids enjoyed shopping for the loved ones at the Mistletoe Mall.  If you're interested in being on the committee for next year, please let me know.  The planning and shopping for next year has already begun and we could use some more help.

Pancake Breakfast may have been the best yet in my opinion!  Thank you to all of you who came out and joined the fun!  If you're interested in being on the committee for next year, please let me know so that we make sure to include you.
