Thank you so much for subscribing to our web page! The students completed their first FULL week of school! They learned so much and seemed to be enjoying school! I know I am really enjoying being able to spend time with the class in person!!! They are wonderful children! We are having a great time getting to know each other!

Hopefully you have seen your child’s agenda.  The students took home the "Work to complete on Monday and turn in on Tuesday for Attendance Credit" check-off slip. Please look for it in your child's yellow work folder. I was hoping I could help make things easier for you to monitor your child's work. Please initial work completed on the form and sign it. Return the form and all of the work to class on Tuesday. 

We will begin spelling this week with word list 1.1 (fourth grade), and Grade 5, week 1 words (fifth grade). Students took home the word list today. I explained the procedure with the class and sent home a spelling contract with written instructions. The spelling test will be on Friday, September 4.

Home reading practice starts this week. Today our students took home their Red Reading Folders (fourth) and blue reading slips (fifth), and they will be due on Friday, September 4th. Students are expected to read for 20 minutes each night for five nights or more during the week. Reading homework is due every Friday morning, but I will need to glance at it on Tuesday so I know students read on Monday.

I am looking forward to seeing you all at Back to School night on Thursday, September 3 from 6:40-7:10. I will send the Zoom invitation to the home email you provided the school district as shown on Power School.
