Happy Monday! Good job to everyone who is doing their distance learning on the Chromebook today! I can see your wonderful progress!

Congratulations to five students who have passed their Multiplication fact quiz! Congratulations to Brian, Kava, Audrey & Carter from Fifth Grade, and Congratulations to Caitlin from Fourth Grade! You are all amazing! Everyone, keep practicing math facts. Mastering math facts is crucial to overall math success!

We are on spelling words 2.2 in 4th grade, and Week 7 words in 5th grade this week. The words and activities are available on Spelling City.

Thank you to all the families who have sent in kind donations for our clay project. We now have enough clay for this project, but if more clay comes in I will store it for upcoming activities.

Thank you also for sending in trinkets for our treasure chest "Catch-ya" drawing! The children LOVE the prizes! Thank you so much!

The next donation needed is for Smartie candies. The students work really hard on their math tests, and they love to find a Smartie roll taped to their "A" papers! It would be wonderful if you could send in a package of Smarties for the class. Thank you!

Please look for information from our librarian, Mrs. Alonso, regarding Read-a-Thon!

A little Covid procedural reminder from the office.... The grass area is not a place for social gatherings.  It has been noticed that families have gotten a little looser following the school's mask and distancing rules at pick up.  All hybrid parents signed an agreement to abide by all rules relating to Covid on school grounds.  Masks need to be worn until students get to their car. If you are waiting for a sibling, your child needs to remain masked and with you, and not running around.  We are trying our best to follow rules, and those procedures need to be followed at pick up too.  Thank you!

The District has updated the 2020-2021 school calendar, and it is posted on the Alta Sierra Website and the Pleasant Ridge District Website. This week will continue as the “normal” hybrid schedule. Conferences have been moved to November 23rd and November 24th, which will be asynchronous learning days for all students. You will receive more information about Parent Conferences as they get closer.

Thank you and have a wonderful week!
