What will happen:
  • Every evening, you will receive an email with any updates from your subscribed pages.
  • If you have 3 children from either Alta Sierra or Magnolia AND you have subscribed to the school and teacher pages, you will receive one email that contains all of the updates.   The goal is to make communication easy for our parents as they could be getting information from two schools and 5 teachers, all in one concise email.

Picture retakes and makeups will be November 3, 2020

9:45am-12:00pm in the multipurpose room.
Distance learning families may bring their children during that time.
Please check in the office and we will work you in.
You may also take a headshot and email it to [email protected] to be included in the yearbook.

curriculum, instructional goals and to give you information 

that will help your child have a successful and enjoyable year.

Distance Learning Packets - May 11, 2020

Are you ready for your next packet!  
Staff has emptied the desks of personal items and emptied the walls of art. We will be handing those back to you along with your packet.

Kindergarten Registration

Preschool, TK, and Kindergarten Registration is April 20, 2020

   You can pick up a registration packet at the school office starting at 8:00AM on Monday, April 20th, for all programs. After April 20th, registration materials will be available in the district office. Packets can be turned in the same day until 5:00 at Alta Sierra, or at any day after that at the District Office 8:30AM-2:00PM

Morning Announcements - April 9, 2020 - MYSTERY READER

Good morning eagles. This is Audra Paasch with your morning announcements for Thursday April 9, 2020 I am a 5th grader in Mrs. Hollister and Mrs. Shureen’s Class. I miss hanging with my friends at school. On the other hand, I have found that I really like having extended time during distance learning. Monday is our first virtual spirit day. That means we all participate and take pictures of ourselves doing so. The first spirit activity is: Let's do LUNCH! It's National Make Lunch Count Day; show us what you're munching for lunch. Information will be emailed to your parents on how to share the pictures. Eagles are trustworthy. Even young children can understand the difference between the truth and a lie. In so many ways, trustworthiness is about honesty—saying what you mean and meaning what you say. Following through when you make a promise. Life is easier when we are trustworthy And now...a moment of science. Soon after sunset, in the deepening evening twilight, notice the brightest “star” in your western sky. That’ll be the planet Venus. Venus ranks as the third-brightest celestial object to light up the heavens, after the sun and moon. Given clear skies, you simply can’t miss it at evening dusk. Morning Announcements - April 7, 2020 - MYSTERY READER

Good morning eagles. This is Tyler Kinne with your morning announcements for Tuesday April 7, 2020 I am a 5th grader in Mrs. Hollister and Mrs. Shureen’s Class. Know your history! When was the first “video” call made? WRONG! The first video call was a one way video but it was in…..April 7, 1923! Yeah. almost 100 years ago. Tuesday is a good day to be active! Try Bench step-ups: Step right foot, then left, up onto a low bench or stair step, then step down. Switch your starting side with each set. Or how about inchworms: Bend forward at the hips and place hands on the ground with knees slightly bent, then walk your hands forward until you’re in a plank position. Now walk your feet in to meet your hands and stand back up! Next week we are going to have a virtual spirit week! Beginning April 13, you will have a topic to participate in each day. We have a private folder just for Alta Sierra students to share our photos. #togetherinspirit Eagles are respectful to our family members and friends, even when we are upset. We use good manners not bad language. We think before we react, especially with our siblings. Check in tomorrow to see who will be reading the announcements. Remember to always give your best effort..
