About Me
I grew up in Nevada City, the oldest of four children. My mom says I would come home from Kindergarten and set up my stuffed animals and little brother and play school. I have always wanted to be a teacher! I went through the Nevada City schools and played volleyball for Nevada Union. I then enrolled in Chico State's four year Bachelor's degree and Credential program. I always wanted to return to Nevada County to teach and I was granted that wish when I was hired to teach first grade at Alta Sierra School weeks after graduating. This will be my 20th year teaching 1st grade! 1st grade is the best!
I love family time! My husband, Brian, is an Alta Sierra school alumni who works for NID. We have four fun, feisty, fabulous kiddos, Kellan (11), Ryder (9), Aubrey (7) and Ella (5). We love to spend time together exploring the outdoors, hiking, camping and playing at the lake. We love to day trip to Sugar Pine Point at Tahoe or Donner Lake ....always finding a bakery or ice cream shop to complete the day!
