What will happen:
  • Every evening, you will receive an email with any updates from your subscribed pages.

  • If you have 3 children from either Alta Sierra or Magnolia AND you have subscribed to the school and teacher pages, you will receive one email that contains all of the updates.   The goal is to make communication easy for our parents as they could be getting information from two schools and 5 teachers, all in one concise email.

Hello Alta Sierra Families!

The PTC has a few fun things planned for the month of May!

The Alta Sierra PTC is proud to honor our teachers May 8-12 during Teacher Appreciation Week!  The PTC has planned a special week for both families and staff to enjoy!  Please see the attached flyer(s) for ways that your student/family can participate and celebrate your teacher next week during Teacher Appreciation Week! To support our teachers and staff we are asking for volunteers to help sponsor our teachers!  We are hoping to get $25 donated per teacher to cover what the PTC has planned for the week.  Please use the link below to sign up to sponsor the teacher(s) of your choice:

The PTC has also planned a Spring Popnic on Friday, May 19th at 1:05 school release on the field.  Pack your blankets, your picnic lunch and pop in for some after school fun with your pals on the grass.  The PTC will be providing complimentary popcorn, popsicles and pop music for all to enjoy!  We hope to see you there! Also, a special thank you to our families, sponsors and donors who attended Denim & Diamonds Auction Night!  It was a wonderful evening and a very successful fundraiser!  Thank you for supporting the Alta Sierra PTC who in turn is able to support the wonderful students and teachers at our school!

Remember to follow the speed limit on Annie Dr. and Brewer Rd. when traveling to and from Alta Sierra School.
 
We want to keep our students, families and neighbors as safe as possible.

State testing is administered during the month of May for all 3rd 4th and 5th graders.   Our teachers set their administration dates and times.  Please watch for communication from your students' teachers for the exact dates.  
 
We like to keep our testing times during the normal flow of the school day routine to reduce student anxiety.  You can help by making sure your student is at school and well rested.

We are excited for many productive, fun learning days to come so, if you are healthy, be at school!

Important information about 4th and 5th Band

Dear Parents/Guardians of upper elementary students,


My name is Joshua Horton; thank you for giving me this opportunity to introduce myself as Magnolia Intermediate School’s newest music teacher! I am writing to invite your fourth and fifth-grade students to join the Elementary Band! The group will be rehearsing four days each week (Monday-Thursday) and is part of the elementary afterschool program. 


I am excited to offer instruction on four different musical instruments: flute, clarinet, trumpet, and trombone. For a very low financial commitment, your child(ren) can receive hands-on training and perform in concerts this school year!
