Morning Announcements - April 6, 2020 - MYSTERY READER

Good morning eagles. This is Jaylen Hale with your morning announcements for Monday April 6, 2020. I am a 5th grader in Mrs. Hollister and Ms. Shureen’s Class. I miss seeing all of my friends and teachers at school. On the other hand, I have found that I really like that I have more resources with distance learning. Monday is a good day for math! WORKING WITH MONEY is math. Ask your parent for a list of items that you are going to buy at the store. Estimate the price of each. When you get to the store or get the receipt, write down the actual price. How close were you? Up for a challenge? Use the scale in the produce department to estimate and weigh fruits and vegetables. Everything has weight, even AIR! Lots of air molecules pack down and the temperature rises. However, this week, the air pressure is going to be low. Expect some rain and unsettled weather all week. Next week we are going to have a virtual spirit week! Beginning April 13, you will have a topic to participate in each day. We have a private folder just for Alta Sierra students to share our photos. #togetherinspirit Eagles are responsible with our learning. We plan ahead and set a learning schedule. We set goals for our learning and always do our best. Be responsible for your learning no matter what day it is. Did you know that the world's largest entirely edible cupcake was made in 2014 and weighed 61.4 lbs?! Check in tomorrow to see who will be reading the announcements. Remember to always give your best effort.
