November 18-22

Our first Trimester has ended and Thanksgiving is just around the corner! Report cards will go home on Tuesday, November 26. There is so much going on in our classroom! Several of our students enjoyed the Facts Reward Party with Mr. Bivens today! Congratulations to Landon, Claire, Brooke, Adelina, Amy, Molly, Noah, Mason and Chloe! Great job!

Our children enjoyed a hands-on FOSS Science experiment in class this week. They learned about energy and lit a lightbulb with just a D-cell battery, wire, and bulb. Students are recording their findings in their Science Journal. Everyone enjoys experimenting!

We will not have a spelling test this week, but students are expected to practice their "Maidu Vocabulary Words" on Spelling City to prepare for our field trip on Thursday.

We will be visiting the garden on Tuesday! Please send your child to school with shoes they feel comfortable wearing for gardening.

Mrs. Yoho will be joining us on Wednesday for another fantastic Art Docent presentation.

Our Maidu field trip is on Thursday. The weather forecast for Roseville at this time is sunny and 69 degrees. It should be a perfect day!

Rally Around the Flag will be on Friday morning on the lower playground.

Thank you for using the Sign Up Genius for our Thanksgiving celebration! There are still a few more slots to fill. I especially need volunteers to join us to help serve food. Thank you so much to those of you who have already signed up to send in food! Our potluck will be during our lunch on Tuesday, so you do not need to send a lunch with your child unless they want to eat something different.

Our Kids Can food drive ends soon! Anything that you can send in will be appreciated. These are the foods that they say are most needed: Canned meats including tuna, chicken, turkey, ham, stew and chili. They also need  canned vegetables,
pasta & pasta sauce,
 beans, rice,
healthy cereals, peanut butter, baby food & baby formula. No glass containers, please! Everything should be in original packaging with the expiration date in tact.

Thank you so much for all of your help and support! Your children are doing a great job! I am so proud of them!
