Students enjoyed a wonderful trip to Magnolia School on Friday for a very special Play Performance given by Magnolia students. It was a comic/mystery that captivated the audience. We all loved it!

Students are working diligently on the first paragraph of their mission project, "Mission Founding." You can view your child's progress on their personal Google Doc from home. All students were given instruction on how to access their work from home. Please remember, much of the work will be completed in class, so don't worry about it just yet. Complete and specific instructions will go home later in April. However, if your child was absent last week, or if he/she needs to finish typing the "Mission Founding," please have them work on their Google Doc from home. The outline for the paragraph is in their blue mission folder in their desk. Please let me know if you need me to send it home.

 

Spelling City 6.1 words are available on the Spelling City site for practice. Students will take their spelling test on Thursday.

 

We will have our school Talent Show on Tuesday! I am delighted so many talented children from our very own classroom signed up to perform! Reminder notes went home last week. We are looking forward to the performance!

 

There will be a Fire Drill practice on Wednesday.

 

Student of the Month Awards will be given in class on Thursday.

 

Students will begin their day with a Rally around the Flag celebration on Friday morning at the start of the school day. Perfect Attendance for the 2nd Trimester will be acknowledged. Lions Club Reading Contest Awards will be given out as well, and we will have a special guest visitor. Please remember, Friday is FAN DAY - Dress up day!

Thank you to everyone who responded to the request for pledges for our special clay project. A request for donations went home last week, and many families have already been sending in their pledges and more! Thank you, everyone! We are scheduled to make CLAY SUNS on Wednesday, April 3rd!
