Hi! I’m Mrs. Cornejo! I will be your teacher this year!

I am thrilled that you will be in my class this year! We are going to learn so many new and exciting things together. This is my ninth year of teaching 4^th grade, many of these years have been right here at Alta Sierra School, so I think you can infer that I LOVE Fourth graders! I think it is the best grade ever! We get to learn about the Amazing State of California, Long Division, Fractions, Cursive, and a lot more!

I am very passionate about teaching all subjects, although MATH is my FAVORITE, and I enjoy using technology as much as I can. In fact, you can check out our classroom newsletter weekly on Edlio. All you need to do is press the subscribe button under my name on the school web page.

One of the things I think it is very important is to work together as a classroom family. We will be spending a lot of time together, so it is important to treat each other with kindness, respect, and compassion. I know that each of you have a different brain which means you think and learn differently. I am committed to helping you learn and grow and continue to develop as a person of good character.

Want to know a little bit about me? I have been married to Mr. Cornejo for 34 years! We have two sons named Cameron and Dakota, and both of them went to Alta Sierra School from Kindergarten through Fifth Grade! We have an amazing school and I am so happy to be here! I have a grey cat named “Gandalf the Grey” and he loves to follow me everywhere. I have a Koi pond and every fish has a name. “Dorado” is golden colored koi and she is very beautiful. This summer I went camping at Eagle Lake with my whole family and we had a really fun time! I learned how to paddle board!
