We had a blast at the Jog-A-Thon on Friday!  The color run portion was so fun! Thank you so much to the people who worked so hard for this to all come together!  Thank you so much to all of the parents who came and help us today! This was one of our best Jog-A-Thon ever! Please get your pledges in. The money raised will help our school provide the best possible learning experience for all of our children!

 

We will have parent teacher conferences all week. Dismissal time will be at 12:00 noon, Monday through Friday, to allow time for us to meet. I look forward to discussing your child's progress and how we can work together to make this the best year ever! 

 

We are continuing to read about Animal Intelligence this week in our National Geographic REACH program.

 

Spelling Words 2.3 are posted on Spelling City. Please ask your child to practice the words nightly. We have some pretty difficult words on our spelling list this year! Hopefully Spelling City will make studying the words fun! Students will complete the spelling test in class on Friday morning on the Spelling City site. Please have your child take a practice spelling test at home Thursday evening to see what words they need to review before the test.

 

We are gearing up for our Big Math Test for Book 2 happening this week. The focus is on multiplying up to 4-digit numbers by single-digit numbers with regrouping. (Ex: 5 X 9,876) Please continue to check your child's math homework nightly. You may find the Think Central/Go Math ISE and Skill Sets helpful. They are found on the Alta Sierra Web Page under Student Links, see "Things to do", and "My Library."
