I hope that everyone is having a wonderful weekend!

I enjoyed getting to meet and talk with everyone last week during parent/teacher conferences. This is such a valuable time to discuss our joint efforts in making this a successful year for your child. 

We have this last full week before October break.  The time is going way too fast! Please watch for the Sign Up Genius for our Halloween party.

Homework Club starts this week!  It is on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:00-3:15.  I sent home permission slips last week in the Thursday Folder.  Please let me know if you need another one.  This is a great opportunity for our children!

Mrs. Yoho will visit us on Wednesday for another amazing Art Docent presentation!   We appreciate Mrs. Yoho and all of the work she puts into Art Docent presentations and projects for our class!  

We have a goal for all 4^th  graders to pass their X-tra Math multiplication facts by Friday, November 17.  All students who pass their multiplication facts by this date will be invited to a celebration party with Mr. Bivens!  At this point in your child's education mastering math fact is crucial to math success. Xtra Math Facts Homework is assigned nightly, Monday-Thursday. However, your child may work on the program over the weekend if they choose to do so. In addition, class time is made available for students who do not have internet access at home to work on Xtra Math Facts in class. 

We will be on spelling 2.4 this week. Words are available on Spelling City from Oct. 9-13. We will test on Spelling City on Thursday in the computer lab. Your child may study the words nightly by playing a spelling game that I have assigned to them on the Spelling City site.

This Wednesday, is picture re-take day!
