Classroom Management

Classroom Management: Following rules are expected and not suggested. They are discussed on the first day so there is no confusion about how your child should and should not behave. Remember, your child’s behavior whether positive or negative impacts others in the classroom. I believe in positive reinforcement. I have found that children at this age want to be recognized for appropriate behavior. But mistakes happen. If a reminder for suitable behavior is not enough, students will be asked to leave the area and sit in another designated space. If the behavior continues they may be asked to sit in the office for a short period of time. If needed a note will be sent home for any child that, despite reminders, continues to have behavior that impacts their day and others around them.
