Welcome to fifth grade!  I am so excited to be at Alta Sierra this year !  I have been teaching in the Pleasant Ridge School District for 21 years and previously taught in the Dry Creek School District and the Alta Dutch Flat School District.  Most of my teaching experience has been at the middle school level, and I am thrilled to be teaching fifth grade again this year. I am excited to have one group of students all day and to teach all subjects again. Most recently I have been teaching a math/science core class but I have a love of reading, writing, and history and am looking forward to sharing that with students again.

 

I live in Nevada City with my husband, John, who grew up here.  We have two daughters.  Eden recently graduated from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo with a degree in nutrition.  She is still living in SLO and is happily married.  Avery lives in Grass Valley and works at Hooper and Weaver Mortuary.  

 

In my free time I love to go to my cabin, hike, kayak, read, and spend time with family and friends.  

 

We are going to have a great year in Room 18!
