Snack Time

Snack time for our transitional kindergarteners is about 9:15 each morning, just before our recess time. By then they are usually really ready for a healthy snack. If you send your child with a small snack that is low in refined sugar (cut fruit, vegetables, yogurt, cheese, applesauce, nuts, etc.), s/he has a better chance of continuing the rest of the morning feeling satisfied and with the sustained energy needed to have a successful rest of the day.
